Hey, y’all! (I need to stop hanging around SistaJAM)
There wasn’t a whole lot to talk about at BHC Monday night, but I didn’t get around to dragging you all out into the hall for everyone’s favorite 5 minutes of the week (me telling you what happened at BHC). So I will just post here the details of the events we discussed.
1. Art Gallery. On Wednesday, December 9 in the Rhodes Room (not sure what time yet), Brittany Hall Council will be hosting an art exhibition to raise money for Relay for Life. The art to be shown is from YOU. We are taking submissions from all Brittany residents. Each floor is required to have at least one art submission. If you’re interested in submitting a photograph, painting, sketch, sculpture, anything! let me know by Monday, November 30. This is also an art contest and the winning artist will receive a prize.
2. Book Drive. The last few weeks of school, there will be a box at the Resource Center to drop off your used text books. The books will be donated to some school or charity in need. Not sure on many details other than that…
3. BHC “General Assembly” Retreat. On Saturday, December 5 from 1-4 pm BHC is hosting a picnic in Central Park. The theme of the retreat is Reccess, so we will be playing playground games (“Red Rover, Red Rover, send TRACI right over!”) and eating snacks (Gushers, anyone?) all afternoon. The best part? It’s all free! Including MetroCards. But it’s only for the General Assembly, you say? Guess what! You ALL are the General Assembly!! You’re all invited! The Mad Hatter and I are required to go, so why not join us for an afternoon of fun in the park?
All for now. Enjoy the long weekend!
Love, Your Divine Nine Floor Reps :)
